Eating breakfast is important for your metabolism to keep going and burn excess fat. You're been sleeping for 6-8 hours and it's time to break-the-fast!
What happens if you skip breakfast?
Your body will "run on empty" and lower your metabolism to conserve as much energy as possible. Because your blood sugar will drop, you'll be craving sweets or/and caffeinated drinks to pick you up.
Definitely not healthy for you and your waist!
When you finally sit to lunch, you'll not only overeat (because you'll be absolutely famished by the time of lunch) but more energy from the food you eat will be stored as fat!
Many people claim they lead busy lives and simply don't have time to eat breakfast in the morning. Frankly, if you're so busy you can't find time to eat you should really examine choices you did in your life. Nothing should be more important than your health!
Anyway, you don't have to cook breakfast if you're in the hurry! This video will show you how to make a healthy breakfast - in 5 minutes flat!
I'm not a big proponent of protein shakes, but this one is quick and healthy, and most certainly better than skipping breakfast.
You can certainly use other ingredients than shown in this video. You can use soy or "ordinary" milk but I wouldn't recommend it. Choose fruits that have low glycemic index. Don't forget to include soluble fibers - and to vary them!
Do I have to repeat one more time? Never, ever skip breakfast - it's unhealthy and it will ruin your metabolism!
